Bulgaria's 10.4 mln euro road rehabilitation tender attracts 19 bids

February 17 (SeeNews) - A 20.3 million levs ($11.3 million/10.4 million euro) tender for awarding contracts for rehabilitation of the third-class road linking Slivnitsa to the villages of Galabovtsi and Rakita in western Bulgaria has attracted 19 bids, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said.

Nine bidders are vying for the first lot in the tender envisaging construction works on 11.5 km of the road from Slivnitsa to Galabovtsi for an estimated price of 11.7 million levs - five consortiums and four companies bidding on their own, the government agency said in a statement last week.

The five consortiums comprise respectively local companies Avtomagistrali-Cherno More and Vins In Hok; GBS-Infrastrukturno stroitelstvo and Glavbolgarstroy International; Bulgaria-based Strabag and the local branch of Poland's Strabag; PST Group and PST Sofia; Trace Group Hold and Trace-Patno Sroitelstvo.

Local civil engineering companies Patstroy-92, Avtomagistrali Hemus, Groma Hold and Nivel Stroy are running on their own in the public procurement procedure for the first lot.

The second lot in the tender, for 7.4 km of the road from Galabovtsi to Rakita, has attracted 10 bids, five of which from local companies Patstroy-92, GP Group, Groma Hold, Infra Ekspert and Nivel Stroy. All of the consortiums which have expressed interest in the first lot have submitted offers for the second lot as well.
