Antitrust body clears Romanian Software takeover by SD Worx

July 1 (SeeNews) - Romania’s competition authority said it has approved the acquisition of local company Romanian Software by Belgium-based human resources solutions firm SD Worx People Solutions.

The Competition Council found no significant concerns regarding the effect of the transaction on competition within the Romanian market, it said in a statement on Friday.

With a history of over 75 years, SD Worx People Solutions is a Belgian company specialised in offering solutions for the human resources sector, with a focus on payroll management.

Romanian Software is a technology company that supplies software solutions for workforce management. In 2023, Romanian Software booked a profit of 2.6 million lei ($551,748/512,870 euro) on a net turnover of 28.7 million lei, according to data from the finance ministry.
