Slovenia had a general government deficit of 390 million euro ($435 million), equivalent to 2.3% of the projected 2024 gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of the year, the statistical office said on Friday.
The average price of purchased arable land in Slovenia rose to 26,521 euro ($29,609) per hectare last year, from 23,282 euro in 2022, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Slovenia's unemployment rate came in at 3.3% at the end of August, unchanged compared to July and 0.4 percentage point lower than in August 2023, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The Slovenian government said it adopted on Thursday an amended budget plan for next year and a budget draft for 2026, with deficit projected at 2.6% and 1.6% of the planned gross domestic product (GDP), respectively.
