Serbian state-owned natural gas provider Srbijagas has signed a deal for additional gas supplies from Azerbaijan for the period from November 1 until March 31, Serbia's energy ministry said.

Dutch shipbuilding group Damen said that its shipyard in Romania's eastern city of Galati will deliver two electric ferries to Toronto, Canada.

Romania's Libra Internet Bank said on Thursday that it is providing 7.5 million euro ($8.4 million) in financing to Da Vinci New Project, a project company indirectly owned by local energy group Premier Energy [BSE:PE], for the construction of a 23.1 MW photovoltaic (PV) park and a 4.6 MWh energy storage facility.

Serbia's energy minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said she has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Energy International Group on strategic cooperation aimed at increasing the capacity of renewable energy sources (RES) and potential investments in energy storage facilities in Serbia.
