Bulgarian private equity firm BlackPeak Capital said on Thursday that it has invested 8 million euro ($8.9 million) in Vratsa-based electronics manufacturer Security Smart Systems to modernise and expand its production capacity.

Bulgarian venture capital (VC) firm Eleven Ventures has invested 300,000 euro ($334,171) in Germany-based, Greek-founded women's digital healthcare platform Vivian Lab as part of its Eleven Alpha investment programme, a representative of the VC firm told SeeNews on Wednesday.

Bulgarian investment fund Sofia Angels Ventures (SAV) said it participated in a 3 million euro ($3.3 million) funding round for UK-based, Romanian-founded energy tech startup Ogre AI.

Romanian venture capital firm Early Game Ventures (EGV) said on Tuesday that it has led a pre-seed investment round worth 500,000 euro ($552,031) for local veterinary biotech startup The Cat Health Company (TCHC).
