New passenger car registrations in Romania rose by an annual 8% to 106,534 in the first eight months of 2024, as hybrid vehicle registrations jumped by 39% to 39,388 units, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said.

Serbia plans to have a total of 164 electric vehicle (EV) chargers installed along its motorways by April 2025, one at every 6.2 kilometres, transport minister Goran Vesic said.

Croatian engineering group Koncar [ZSE:KOEI] said it signed on Tuesday with ZET, the public transport company of the city of Zagreb, a deal for the delivery of twenty trams, with a total contract value of 39.9 million euro ($44 million).

New passenger car registrations in Slovenia rose by 5.7% on the year in the first seven months of this year, to 32,866, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Thursday, quoting provisional figures.
