Tirana opens tender for next stage of farmers' market construction

Candidates will be required to conclude construction of three market halls and parking lots within 18 months from contract signing, the Tirana municipality said in a tender announcement.

Offers can be submitted until July 31.

The market is primarily intended for the supply of restaurants and food warehouses, catering mainly to bulk purchases.

The first farmers’ booths in the market opened in March 2023, the municipality said at the time. A month later, local construction firm Kac Dedja won a 34 million leks contract for the second stage of construction.
