Montenegro will start building the 22-km Matesevo-Andrijevica section of the motorway that will connect the Adriatic port of Bar to the border with Serbia at Boljare in 2025, the government in Podgorica said on Friday.
Luxembourg-based renewable energy investor Alcazar Energy has signed a contract with Montenegrin power transmission system operator Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem (CGES) for connecting the planned 118.8 MW Bijela wind farm to the grid, CGES said.
Montenegro is seeking a contractor for 12.1 million euro ($13.5 million) construction works on the second phase of the bypass road around the eastern town of Rozaje, the transport administration said.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it now expects Montenegro's economy to grow by 3.8% in 2024, revising its May projection upwards by 0.3 percentage points amid signs of sustained consumption growth.
