German trailers and semi-trailers manufacturer Schmitz Cargobull opened its first service centre in Central Europe, in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, following an initial investment of over 2 million levs ($1.1 million/1 million euro), it said on Friday.

Romania’s competition authority said that it is looking into car dealer Autoklass Center's agreed takeover of the distribution, service, and sales activities for Volkswagen vehicles from peer Tess.

Bulgarian diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] said it expects its consolidated sales revenue to decline by an annual 33.2% to 196.1 million levs ($111.6 million/100.3 million euro) in the first nine months of 2024.

Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] said it booked a preliminary gross loss of 1.84 million levs ($1.05 million/940,774 euro) in the first eight months of 2024 against 28,000 levs in the comparable period of last year.
