Romania’s competition authority said on Monday that it is looking into the agreed takeover by Raiffeisen Bank Romania of local lender Garanti Bank Romania and leasing unit Motoractive IFN, as well as the latter's subsidiary, fleet management services firm Motoractive Multiservices.

Czech investment group Star Capital Finance (SCF) said it has completed the acquisition of two NEST retail parks located in Romania from Czech developer RC Europe for nearly 40 million euro ($46.3 million).

Slovenia's competition authority said it does not object to the acquisition of meat spreads producer Osem by the local unit of Croatian fast moving consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa, subject to the fulfilment of certain corrective measures by the buyer within three years after the closing of the transaction.

Austrian construction group Strabag SE said it has signed an agreement to fully acquire Romanian railways builder BAWI Construction.
