The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) on Friday said it has launched tender procedures for upgrades on 3 kilometres of coastline in the country's second largest city, Durres, with an estimated budget of 833.2 million leks ($10 million/8.8 million euro).

Serbian state-owned passenger railway operator Srbijavoz said on Friday it has awarded a contract worth 35.35 million euro ($40.3 million), excluding VAT, for the procurement of six new multi-system electric locomotives to Serbian and Austrian units of Munich-headquartered rail traffic technology provider Siemens Mobility.

Montenegro ranked first a local consortium led by Podgorica-based Euromont Stil in a 20 million euro ($22.7 million) tender for the construction of a 3-km section of the western bypass motorway of the capital Podgorica, the government's transport administration said.

German defence contractor Rheinmetall said it has been awarded a contract by the Romanian government to supply Skyranger 35 air-defence systems.

Croatia and Canada signed a memorandum of understanding to boost their cooperation in the civil use of nuclear energy, confirming their commitment to strengthen energy security, diversify energy sources, and develop sustainable energy solutions, the Croatian economy ministry said on Wednesday.
