Trina Solar will supply ultra-high-power modules of the Vertex N model for the project, with an expected annual generation capacity of 250,000 MWh, deputy CEO at Vega Group, Skender Hoxhaj, said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.

A SeeNews email to Vega Group seeking further information on the project's investment value, location and planned timeline went unanswered by the time of this publication.

Vega Group was established as Vega Solar in 2018, focusing on rooftop solar array installations, according to the Albanian business register. In 2022, it rearranged its renewable energy activities to focus on photovoltaic parks.

Founded in 1997 in the Jiangsu Province in China, Trina Solar mainly engages in production on photovoltaic products, solar power generation and maintenance, according to its website.

Trina Solar has previously supplied photovoltaic panels to other solar projects in Albania, including French renewable developer Voltalia's 140 MW solar plant in the Karavasta coastal area.
