The new line will help alleviate road traffic and congestions at the border crossing, as well as encourage a larger influx of tourists in the summer season, Radulovic said in a statement on his X profile on Saturday.
Back in May, when announcing the opening of the line, Radulovic said ferries will travel twice a day from Budva and twice a day from Dubrovnik.
The Budva-Dubrovnik line be operated by Croatian company Kompas and its Antonija catamaran with a capacity of 242 passengers. As announced earlier, the initial plan for 2024 envisages that the line remains open by the end of September.
Budva is the biggest Adriatic resort in Montenegro. The coastal area around it, called the Budva Riviera, is a hotspot for tourists.
