Zagreb share indices fall, Atlantska Plovidba leads blue-chip losers

September 18 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed mixed on Friday, with shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] pacing the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.

Atlantska's shares lost 1% to a closing price of 198 kuna.

The ZSE said last week it will exclude Atlantska Plovidba from the blue-chip CROBEX10 index as of September 21.

Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] was the only blue-chip gainer on the ZSE. It closed at 1,300 kuna, up 0.78%.

Four of the ten blue chips fell on the ZSE Friday, two closed the session flat and three did not trade.

Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] generated the largest turnover of 247,000 kuna among the blue-chip shares for the day. Its shares closed 0.29% lower at 171 kuna.

The ZSE's total trading turnover increased sharply to 12.4 million kuna ($1.9 million/1.6 million euro) on Friday, from 2.4 million kuna on Thursday.

The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index rose 0.09% to 1,612.09 on Friday after falling 0.37% on Thursday.

The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, shed 0.17% to 997.85 after decreasing 0.47% on Thursday.

The fixed-income CROBIS index closed 0.08% higher at 112.1994.
