Once built, Nova Retail Park Sid will create 250 new jobs, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday when the foundation stone for the new project was laid.

Infrastructure minister Goran Vesic, who laid the foundation stone, was quoted as saying in the statement that the retail park will have a solar plant and will provide charging stations for electric vehicles.

Nova Retail Park says on its website that its facility in Sid will spread over 23,400 square metres, of which 11,200 sq m will be intended for tenants. The park will include over 20 stores and will have 240 parking lots.

Sid is the fourth location for Nova Retail Park, which already started building similar shopping centres in the cities of Ub, Ruma and Kula.
