World Bank lends Kosovo 37 mln euro to improve healthcare, education

June 28 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s finance ministry said on Friday it signed three financing agreements with the World Bank to support initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s health and education systems.

World Bank lends Kosovo 37 mln euro to improve healthcare, education

The financing package includes two loans totalling 37.2 million euro ($39.8 million) under two World Bank projects - one to strengthen Kosovo’s healthcare system and one to improve early childhood education and care for Kosovo's human capital, the finance ministry said in a press release.

Additionally, the World Bank is providing $2 million in grants.

Both loans were approved in May, according to the World Bank’s website, and both projects are set to conclude in 2029.
