June 13 (SeeNews) - Swedish direct sales nutrition and wellness company Zinzino said it launched this week its operations in Serbia, aiming to spur sales growth in the country and the Balkan region through synergies within the distributor organisation.

"This is a perfect time for Zinzino to enter a dynamic and expanding market that serves as the gateway to the Balkans," Zinzino CEO, Dag Bergheim Pettersen, said in a statement earlier this week. "Zinzino's robust and long-term business model with a sustainable, customer-centered approach will be a springboard to success for our Serbian Partners in a country strategically located between Central and Southeastern Europe."

Direct selling is popular among Serbian consumers and more than two-thirds of Serbs use social media daily, supporting the rapid growth of digital commerce, as per the statement. Furthermore, the local business has been adapted through the implementation of local payment solutions via a new, dynamic payment platform.

The customer support and other market support of Zinzino's Serbian operations will be handled through the company headquarters in Gothenburg, combined with support from local consultants.

With the launch of its Serbian operations, Zinzino is now active in more than 100 markets across the globe and continues to expand. Its aim is to reach 1 million customers by 2025 and 20 million by 2035, it said.
