Croatia's Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank more than doubles net profit in 2021

March 25 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank d.d., part of Austria's Erste group, reported on Friday a non-consolidated net profit of 847 million kuna ($123 million/112 million euro) for last year, up from 390 million kuna in 2020.

Croatia's Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank more than doubles net profit in 2021

Net profit growth is primarily due to reduced risk costs that decreased to 144 million kuna in 2021, compared to 627 million kuna a year earlier, Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank said in a statement.

Deposits in the bank rose 13.3% on the year to 64.9 billion kuna, while loans aprovided by the bank rose 1.1% to 45.7 billion kuna.

The bank's assets rose 13% to 82.8 billion kuna at the end of 2021.

The consolidated net profit of the bank and its subsidiaries rose to 1.069 billion kuna in 2021, compared with 472 million kuna in 2020.

Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank is the parent company of a banking group which includes the following subsidiaries: Erste&Steiermaerkische S-Leasing, Erste Nekretnine, Erste Bank AD Podgorica in Montenegro, Erste Card Club group, Erste Group IT HR and Izbor Nekretnina.
