Bulgaria's VDH wins 6.9 mln euro deal for upgrade of Vratsa traction substation

January 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said on Monday that it has awarded a 13.4 million levs ($8.3 million/6.9 million euro) deal for the modernisation of Vratsa traction substation to local company VDH.

The deal also envisages the construction of a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, NRIC said in a notice to the public procurement agency.

The contract was signed on December 23 following a tender which attracted five offers.

NRIC intends to finance the contract with EU funding under the Connecting Europe Facility.
