Bosnia's industrial sales decline 1.8% y/y in May

July 2 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's industrial sales fell 1.8% on the year in May, following a rise of 3.4% in April, the country's statistical office said.

Industrial sales on the non-domestic market dipped 4.7% year-on-year in May, while sales on the domestic market went up 1.5%, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Monday.

In May, sales of consumer non-durable goods increased by 9.3% compared to May 2023, sales of capital goods fell 12.7% and sales of intermediate goods decreased by 1.8%. Energy sales decreased by 14% and turnover of consumer durables fell by 14.5%.

On a monthly comparison basis, industrial sales fell 1.5% in May, after an increase of 0.9% in April.

Bosnia's industrial sales fell by 8.4% on the year in 2023, the statistical office has said earlier.
