“Investments in infrastructure are just as important as acquisitions of new buses and trams,” Pucheanu said in a social media post on Wednesday. Galati is in the process of receiving 42 new electric buses, ten trams and ten electric minibuses, he added.
The infrastructure expansion contract has a term of 15 months, with three months allocated to the design stage and twelve months to the construction phase, the Galati city government said in a tender notice published on the public procurement portal earlier this year.
The winning consortium was the only bidder in the tender process. The offer price carried 40% weight in the total evaluation, while the site and project managers’ experience each weighed 30%.
