The first three charging stations have already been installed at supermarkets in Sofia and Blagoevgrad, with a fourth one close to being launched at a Billa supermarket in Troyan, the companies said in a joint press release without providing further details.
A 50 kW DC charging station with two CCS connectors has been set up at a Billa supermarket in Sofia. Another supermarket in Sofia now hosts two fast-charging stations of 120 kW DC each, equipped with two CCS connectors, alongside a 50 kW DC station featuring one CCS connector and one ChaDeMo connector. Eldrive has also installed another 50 kW DC station with two CCS connectors in Blagoevgrad. The EVC charging station in Troyan will be of the latter kind.
Billa Bulgaria has over 150 stores in 47 towns and cities across Bulgaria, the latest store having opened last week in the Danube city of Silistra.
Eldrive operates over 1,000 charging points in its key markets of Bulgaria, Romania and Lithuania, with over 600 located in Bulgaria alone.
Last month, Eldrive partnered with retailer Videolux Holding to develop public EVC infrastructure at its retail sites, which include chains Praktiker, Technopolis and Holiday Park outdoor retail parks.
