Bosnia's indirect tax revenue rises 8.4% y/y in H1

July 2 (SeeNews) - Total indirect tax revenue in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose 8.42% year-on-year to 5.4 billion marka ($3 billion/2.8 billion euro) in the first half of 2024, the country's indirect taxation authority said on Tuesday.

The net revenue from indirect taxes after VAT refunds amounted to 4.4 billion marka in the first six months of the year, up by 487 million marka compared with the same period a year earlier, the indirect taxation authority said in a statement.

The net revenue was distributed between the state-level government, the governments of Bosnia's two constituent entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic, and Brcko district.

Additionally, the Federation received 111.9 million marka, the Serb Republic 73.9 million marka and Brcko 3.7 million marka from special toll revenue for the construction and reconstruction of motorways and roads.
