Romanian electronics retailer Flanco opens 160th store

Located in Craiova’s Promenada Mall, Flanco’s new store spans 700 sq m and is geared towards energy efficiency and sustainability, the electronics retailer said in a press release.

“Craiova is one of the most dynamic cities in the country on the electro-IT market, so we decided to open a fourth store to serve this area,” Ionut Cirstea, sales director at Flanco, said.

Although consumer credit is trending downwards, together with its financial partners Flanco is striving to offer customers access to financial aid, Cirstea added.

The Flanco brand was launched in 1994 and the retailer currently employs over 1,500 people.

In 2022, Flanco booked a net profit of 4.7 million lei ($990,000/940,000 euro) on revenue of 1.1 billion lei, according to data from Romania’s finance ministry.
