The benchmark index was lifted by a 2.00% increase in energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] to 1.53 levs and a 1.45% climb in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.70 levs.

The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, inched up 0.01% to 167.58 points. The gains at Eurohold and Chimimport were offset by a 6.43% drop in real estate investment trust Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 13.10 levs.

The fall at Sopharma Buildings, coupled with a 4.21% tumble in farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH] to 20.50 levs, weighed down the BGTR30. The index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, declined by 0.30% to 851.84 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, slipped by 0.19% to 190.07 points due to the loss at Sopharma Buildings.

Finally, the BEAMX, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, went down 0.50% to 105.87 points. The index was mostly set back by financial services company ITF Group [BUL:ITF], which erased 7.21% to 5.15 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse plunged to 687,990 levs ($378,428/351,762 euro) on Thursday from 8.62 million levs on Wednesday.

IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] generated the highest turnover of the day, at 144,870 levs, after 2,116 shares changed hands. The stock closed 0.87% lower at 68.40 levs.
