Croatia Airlines to completely renew fleet by end-2027

Following the arrival of the first aircraft in July, the second is expected by the end of the year. An additional six are scheduled for delivery in 2025, followed by four in 2026 and three in 2027. This fleet expansion will bring Croatia Airlines' total number of new A220 aircraft to 15, the company said in a press release.

The new airplanes will have capacities of 149 and 127 seats respectively, and are expected to achieve a 25% reduction in fuel consumption.

In November 2022, Airbus said it has signed a firm order for six new A220 passenger aircraft with Croatia Airlines. "Croatia Airlines plans to lease an additional nine A220s, taking its total commitment for the type to 15," the European aerospace manufacturer said back then.

In January, Croatia Airlines said it will transfer an existing deal with Airbus for the purchase of six new A220-300 aircraft to Griffin Global Asset Management and simultaneously lease the planes from Griffin.

Shares of Croatia Airlines last traded on April 9, closing flat at 5.00 euro ($5.37) on the Zagreb bourse.
