June 27 (SeeNews) - Bosnian construction material supplier Lager has acquired a 85% stake in Serbia's Snaga Istoka, which operates a project for the construction of a 300 MW wind power plant in the eastern municipality of Bar, according to data from the Serbian business registry.

Bosnia's Lager acquires 85% stake in Serbia's Snaga Istoka

The remaining stake is equally divided between private individuals Igor Zivkovic and Dejan Vuksanovic, each holding a 7.5% stake, according to a document by the Serbian business registry published earlier this month.

Zivkovic and Vuksanovic previously each held a 50% stake in the company, the document reads.

The wind farm project is valued at about 360 million euro ($385 million), according to Bosnian news provider Raport. The acquisition is part of Lager's goal to become one of the leaders in the region in the production of electricity from renewable energy sources, the news outlet reported earlier this week.

A SeeNews email to Lager about the investment went unanswered by the time this article was published.
