On the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), the 10-share benchmark SASX-10 equity index gained 2.10% on a weekly basis, to close at 1,085.88 points on Friday. The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, went up 0.34% to finish at 1,912.99 points.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, ended the week at 590.88 points, some 0.74% higher compared with the end of the previous week.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by the SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), advanced 1.53% to 11,824.31 points.
SASE’s total turnover soared to 70.6 million marka ($38.6 million/36.1 million euro) this week from just 68,818 marka last week.
The SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The benchmark index of the BLSE, the BIRS, decreased 0.38% this week to close at 895.14 points on Friday.
BLSE's total trading turnover came in at 99.2 million marka this week, significantly higher compared with 176,916 marka last week.
