June 27 (SeeNews) - French provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) said on Thursday it has entered into a partnership with flag carrier Croatia Airlines [ZSE:CRAL] to provide comprehensive component support for its Airbus A220 fleet.

"This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing the operational reliability and performance of Croatia Airlines’ new generation aircraft," AFI KLM E&M said in a press release.

AFI KLM E&M will offer a wide range of component support services, including repairs, access to a dedicated pool of spares and logistics support.

State-controlled Croatia Airlines said earlier this month it plans to completely renew its existing fleet with new Airbus A220 airplanes by the end of 2027 in a bid to improve competitiveness and energy efficiency.

"AFI KLM E&M’s expertise and extensive support network are invaluable as we introduce the A220 to our fleet. This partnership ensures that we can maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency, delivering a superior travel experience to our passengers," Tomislav Impric, technical director of Croatia Airlines, was quoted as saying.

Shares of Croatia Airlines last traded on April 9, closing flat at 5.00 euro ($5.36) on the Zagreb bourse.
