The 21-share equity benchmark, the CROBEX, rose 0.32% to close at 2,829.79 points.

The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, climbed 0.45% to 1,696.44 points.

In regular trading, hotel owner and manager Valamar Riviera generated the biggest daily turnover, of some 150,000 euro ($161,000), as its shares added 0.39% to 5.10 euro.

Shares of food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka rose 0.32% to 158 euro in a turnover of 103,000 euro.

Shares of Koncar went up 0.78% to 260 euro in a turnover of 84,000 euro on the news that it signed a deal to carry out the revitalisation of Hidroelectrica's Vidraru hydropower plant in Romania.

The regular turnover reached 4.4 million euro from just 907,500 euro a day earlier thanks to an almost 3.0 million euro block deal with shares of port operator Luka Ploce [ZSE:LKPC] and an 80,000 block deal with shares of Valamar.
