The Bukovica solar park is one of the five largest ground-mounted active photovoltaic projects in Croatia and it significantly contributes to the country’s energy transition, Interenergo said in a press release.

The solar park is located near Interenergo’s existing wind farm Jasenice, which was opened in 2020. Together, they provide 16.25 MWp of green energy to more than 12,000 households.

Interenergo plans to build a new solar plant in Zadar municipality, with a capacity twice higher than Bukovica. The Slovenian company is also developing two solar energy projects in eastern Croatia.

By opening Bukovica, the investor Interenergo enlarged its portfolio of solar power plants in the region, bringing their number to 35 active projects. Besides the projects in Croatia, Interenergo has over 200 MWp of renewable energy projects under development in Southeast Europe.

Interenergo's main activities include electricity trading, construction and management of energy facilities running on renewable sources.
