Bosnia's Federation net electricity output down 31% y/y in May

June 27 (SeeNews) - The net electricity output of Bosnia's Federation fell to 465 GWh in May from 671 GWh in the same month of 2023, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.

Electricity imports rose to 107 GWh last month from 61 GWh in May 2023, while exports decreased to 77 GWh from 149 GWh, the entity's statistical office said in a monthly report.

The net electricity output of hydropower plants fell to 117 GWh in May from 405 GWh in May 2023, while the output of thermal power plants increased to 321 GWh from 233 GWh.

On a monthly comparison basis, net electricity production in February went down 9.5%. Imports rose almost 70%, while exports fell 30% in May.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
