The new store brings the retailer's network in the country to a total of 149 locations, Billa Bulgaria said in a statement.

Billa Bulgaria's CEO Vygintas Sapokas told SeeNews in December that the company would invest over 80 million levs in its store network and a second warehouse in 2023, with nearly 35 million levs allocated for 12 new supermarkets.

The Austria-based supermarket chain operator has been active in Bulgaria since 2000 and employs a workforce of more than 4,300.
