Montenegro’s jobless rate drops to 11.9% in Q1

The number of unemployed persons in Montenegro decreased by 2.6% compared to the previous quarter and dropped by 20.3% compared to the first quarter of 2023, to 47,400 at the end of March, the statistical office said in its latest Labour Force Survey published on Thursday.

The employment rate in Montenegro was almost unchanged at 63.8% in the first quarter of 2024, compared to 63.9% in the October-December period, and somewhat higher compared to the first quarter of 2023 when it stood at 61.5%.
