Kosovo's gross power output falls 4.7% y/y in March

May 23 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross electricity production decreased by 4.7% on the year in March, to 649.5 GWh, the national statistical office, ASK, said on Thursday.

Thermal power plants produced 564.5 GWh of electricity, wind and solar plants generated 39 GWh, whereas hydro plants produced 24.9 GWh in March, ASK said in a monthly report.

Net power imports amounted to 312.5 GWh in March, up 18.2% on the year, whereas electricity exports surged by 51.6% to 291.4 GWh.

Coal production amounted to 7,291 tonnes in March, rising 58% year-on-year.
