Serbia wants to have Legends manage not only the future stadium in Belgrade, but also the stadiums in Zajecar, Leskovac, and Loznica, Vucic said in a public speech on Monday. The video with his statement was published on the YouTube channel of Vucic's ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
In May, China's Power Construction Corporation (PowerChina) started building the national football stadium in Belgrade's municipality of Surcin, with works on the facility expected to be completed by December 1, 2026. The 52,000-seat stadium is expected to host the UEFA Europa League final in 2028, and will be part of the complex that will host the specialised EXPO 2027 exhibition that will be held in the Serbian capital.
Legends, majority-owned by Sixth Street Partners, has overseen Real Madrid’s retail business since 2020 and also partners with sports clubs such as FC Barcelona and the New York Yankees.
