The contracts provide for the supply, installation, construction, and start-up of solar parks, the company said in a press release. No project values or beneficiaries were disclosed.

“We believe that our investments will contribute to the further growth of the photovoltaic sector in the country, which is already developing at an impressive pace,” Klaudiusz Kalisz, board member at R.Power, said.

Last year, 496 MW of new solar power were commissioned in Romania, up from 25 MW implemented in 2022, the country's energy ministry said in January.

In March, R. Power said it had secured a pipeline of over 200 MWp of solar projects with grid connections in Romania, with an additional 1 GWp in further development portfolio.

R.Power is one the largest companies in the photovoltaic sector in Poland. It has projects in Romania, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Germany. The company is currently developing a portfolio of over 26 GWp of PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets.
