The company has built its own 750 kWh solar power plant, which will cover 80% to 90% of its own electricity needs and an advanced three-part separation system for waste water treatment, which protects the sea from pollution, it said in a press release on Monday.

By deploying solar panels, Iskra will become a carbon-neutral shipyard, reduce operating costs, and contribute to environmental preservation by cutting greenhouse gas emissions, the company added.

The shipyard is a subsidiary of Slovenian industrial solutions provider and electrical products manufacturer Iskra.
