The 1,327 sq m store, in the northeastern city of Falticeni, will be the company's 89th in Romania, Jysk said in a statement on Wednesday.
"We want to be the most widespread retail chain, and our expansion plans continue, even though we are going through an unusual period. We have planned three new store openings, the first being on August 6, when we will inaugurate JYSK Falticeni," JYSK sales and marketing manager Romania and Bulgaria, Iraida Paiuc, said.
Jysk entered the Romanian market in 2007. Its gross profit in Romania rose 12.8% to 75.6 million lei ($18.5 million/15.6 million euro) in the financial year 2019, while sales rose by an annual 20.5% to 582 million lei.
The company is active in 51 countries and employs 23,000 in over 2,900 stores.
