In 2025, the country's economy is projected to expand by 2.9%, the World Bank said on Tuesday in the June edition of its Global Economic Prospects report.
The Western Balkans' economies are seen expanding by 3.2% in 2024, following an estimated 2.5% regional economic growth in 2023.
"The global economy is expected to stabilize for the first time in three years in 2024—but at a level that is weak by recent historical standards," the global lender said.
Global growth is projected to hold steady at 2.6% in 2024 before edging up to an average of 2.7% in 2025-26, which is well below the 3.1% average in the decade before the COVID-19 pandemic, the report reads.
