On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose by 0.4% in June, after growing 0.5% in May, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website on Friday.
The greatest influence on the annual inflation rate was due to a 6.7% rise in restaurant and hotel service prices, contributing 0.5 pps, followed by a 4.9% increase in prices for miscellaneous goods and services, which added 0.4 pp.
Package holiday prices rose by 11.2%, raising monthly inflation by 0.4 pp, while higher prices for accommodation services, up 3.6%, and insurance, up 2.1%, each contributed an additional 0.1 pp.
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, the annual growth of consumer prices was 1.6% in June.
