In contrast, Bulgaria recorded the highest month-on-month increase in industrial PPI among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) and second-highest in the EU, at 4.5%, the bloc's statistical office said in a data release. Overall, industrial producer prices in the EU went down 0.3% in May compared to the previous month.
On an annual comparison basis, Croatia's industrial PPI declined the most among EU states in SEE, by 4.4%, compared to a bloc average fall of 4%.
Meanwhile, Romania marked the smallest year-on-year decrease in industrial prices in the region, at 2.2%.
