November 21 (SeeNews) - Romanian do-it-yourself retailer Dedeman said on Monday that it will open a new store worth 14.5 million euro ($15 million) on November 23.
The new store, located in the northeastern city of Barlad, Vaslui county, spreads on a total area of 11,000 sq m and will employ 137, the company said in a press release.
The new unit will be Dedeman's 59th store in Romania.
The store in Barlad was built on a land plot with a surface area of 24,000 sq m and will also feature 263 parking lots.
"Although we were already present in the county of Vaslui with a Dedeman store, we we are glad that we manage to reach Barlad, another important city of this county," said Dedeman's President, Daniel Paval.
Dedeman, founded in 1992 by two Romanian entrepreneurs, has some 12,800 employees. The company owns 59 brick and mortar stores, five logistics centres and has a retail portfolio of more than 60,000 products.
