September 12 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian unit of Danish bedding and furniture retailer JYSK has officially inaugurated a 100 million euro ($110 million) distribution centre in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Economic Zone, the government said on Thursday.
The facility has a total built up area of over 90,000 square metres and capacity to handle 121,632 pallets, the government's press office said in a statement following the inauguration ceremony attended by prime minister Boyko Borissov and economy minister Emil Karanikolov.
The distribution centre, which will mainly supply JYSK's stores in Bulgaria, Romania and the Western Balkans, is expected to employ 300 people.
JYSK entered the Bulgarian market in 2005 and currently operates 27 stores in 17 cities in the country.
