Taking into account the positive trend of the M&A market in Romania and Europe, Atout Capital has ambitious plans for transactions, it said in a press release.

"Atout Capital strongly believes in the potential of Romanian companies and the role they can play in foreign markets," Atout Capital managing partner Melanie Bonanno said.

In 2021, Atout Capital completed more than 20 transactions, most of which were mergers and acquisitions in the industrial, services, blockchain and medical sectors. Since its establishment 20 years ago, the company has advised over 200 transactions worth over 1.6 billion euro ($1.8 billion).

"Romanian companies have what it takes to grow and become important players on international markets. UiPath is just an example of what Romania has to offer. Mergers, transfers and foreign capital infusions, which are a recurring strategy of Western European companies, can offer Romanian companies the opportunity to become key players," Andreea Saia, responsible for the development of the company in Romania, said.

Paris-based Atout Capital is led by a team of four partners with extensive experience in M&A transactions and financial services. Atout is part of international network of mergers and acquisitions and consulting firm Globalscope.
