Bosnia's Sarajevo airport May passenger numbers up 30% y/y

June 4 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Sarajevo International Airport increased to 151,152 in May, compared with 115,976 in May 2023, data by the airport operator showed on Tuesday.

In the January-May period, the airport in the Bosnian capital served 520,466 passengers, compared with 399,796 passengers served in the like period a year earlier, according to figures posted on the website of Sarajevo Airport.

Aircraft take-offs and landings at Sarajevo airport totalled 1,417 in May, up from 1,149 in same month of 2023. In the first five months of 2024, airport operations increased to 5,379 from 4,627 in the January-May period of 2023.

Passenger numbers at the Sarajevo International Airport came in at 1.36 million in 2023, slightly down compared with 1.38 million a year earlier

Bosnia and Herzegovina has three other international airports, located in Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar.
