Bosnia's Federation net electricity output down 6.6% y/y in Jan

February 28 (SeeNews) - The net electricity output of Bosnia's Federation stood at 836 GWh in January, down from 895 GWh in the same month last year, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.

Electricity imports fell to 17 GWh in January from 53 GWh a year earlier, while exports rose to 286 GWh from 245 GWh, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.

The net electricity output of hydro power plants fell to 362 GWh in January, from 509 GWh in the same month of 2021, while the output of thermal power plants reached 439 GWh from 353 GWh.

On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's net electricity output in January was 24% lower than in December, when it totalled 1,095 GWh.

Month-on-month, the Federation's electricity imports dropped 75% in January, while exports fell 19%.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
