March 20 (SeeNews) - State-owned Telekom Srbija plans to extend its services to the Serbian diaspora in the U.S. by the end of the year, the company’s CEO said.
“By the end of the year, we are expanding to the U.S., which is a very big step. We will be present in the entire U.S. through the T-Mobile network and users will be able to use our SIM card and watch our TV channels,” Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lucic said as seen in a YouTube video published by private broadcaster TV Happy.
Telekom Srbija began offering its services in Germany in July 2023. In December, it established a subsidiary in Turkey - MTEL Turkey. The company also expanded to Switzerland and Austria in 2022.
Telekom Srbija has operations in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro. It recorded a consolidated net profit of 3.5 billion dinars ($32.4 million/30 million euro) in 2022.
