Until January 1, there will be no toll charges on the motorway section from Pojate to Kosevo, state broadcaster RTS reported.

This section fully connects the southern city of Krusevac to the Belgrade-Nis motorway. In April, Serbia opened for traffic the 16.9-km Pojate-Makresan section of the Morava Corridor motorway.

Serbia signed a 745 million euro ($802.6 million) contract for the construction of the Morava Corridor motorway with the Bechtel-Enka consortium in December 2019. The motorway will link European transport Corridors X and XI on Serbia's territory.

The 112 km motorway will feature 88 bridges, 29 level crossings and 11 tollbooths.
