March 13 (SeeNews) - Romanian paver manufacturer Symmetrica said its turnover rose 20% year-on-year to 260 million lei ($57.2 million/52.3 million euro) in 2023.
The company sold more than 7 million sq m of pavers last year, up by 12% compared to 2022, it said in a press release earlier this week.
Symmetrica attributed its growth in 2023 mainly to the opening of a new production facility in Constanta county and the modernisation of its factory in Brasov county.
The company invested 20 million euro last year, including 6 million euro in the development of photovoltaic parks at eight of its nine manufacturing plants.
"Our company understands that the future of construction is interconnected with sustainability and environmental responsibility," said Sebastian Bobu, CEO of Symmetrica.
In 2024, Symmetrica plans to open its biggest production plant yet following a major investment, the company said in the press release, without disclosing details.
Established in 1999, Symmetrica owns production plants in the counties of Suceava, Iasi, Brasov, Bistrita-Nasaud, Vrancea, Arad, Constanta, and near Bucharest.
